张芳，1975年出生于中国江苏省苏州，现居苏州。她于1995年毕业于中国美术学院附中，1999年毕业于中国美术学院油画系；2000年至今任教于苏州工艺美术学院。
张芳的作品形式以绘画为主，以其特有的敏感审视日常生活，探索绘画语言的边界和可能。她于2019年和艺术家李牧共同创建了“野果”工作室，展开对于野生植物的研究、自然对于青少年灵性成长影响的教育实践。
张芳以展览、教学、工作坊和艺术驻留能方式展开她的艺术实践，主要包括：无知者的课堂（系列工作坊），青云文社，中国顺德（2021）；荒野作为课堂，野果工作室，苏州（2021）；植物的故事——张芳、李牧和学生们，野果工作室，苏州（2020）；不周山项目——龙浒峡驻留(参与)，重庆（2020）；再定义——中国当代女性艺术家，基业美术馆，苏州（2018）；暗香，香山里美术馆，苏州（2017）等。
Zhang Fang, was born in 1975, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, and lives in Suzhou of
China. She graduated from the Affiliated High School of China Academy of Art in 1995
and the Oil Painting Department of China Academy of Art in 1999. She has been
teaching at Suzhou Art&Design Technology Institute since 2000.
Zhang Fang's works are mainly based on painting and drawing, examining daily life with
its unique sensitivity, exploring the boundaries and possibilities of painting language.
In 2019, she co-founded the "Wild Fruit" studio with artist Li Mu to carry out the
research of wild plants and the educational practice of the influence of nature on the
spiritual growth of young people.
Zhang Fang has developed her artistic practice through exhibitions, teaching,
workshops, and art residencies, including: Classrooms for the Ignorant (workshop
series), Qingyun Wenshe, Shunde, China (2021); Wilderness as a Classroom, Wild Fruit
Studio, Suzhou,China (2021); Plant Stories — Zhang Fang, Li Mu and Students, Wild
Fruit Studio, Suzhou,China (2020); Longhu Gorgr Residency, Chongqing,China (2020);
Redefinition : Chinese Contemporary Women Artists, Foundation Art Museum,
Suzhou,China (2018); Dark Incense, Xiangshanli Art Museum, Suzhou,China (2017).
